Day 01 – Arrive Delhi
On arrival by your international flight, assistance at airport and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free.
Day 2 – In Delhi
Morning City Tour of Old Delhi visiting Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan , Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana-the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Also drive past Chandni Chowk, shopping centre of Old Delhi. Afternoon City Tour of New Delhi visiting Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch), Lakshmi Narayan Temple – a modern Hindu Temple. Also drive past President’s House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place- shopping centre of New Delhi.
Day 3 – Delhi – Jaipur
Depart by surface for Jaipur enroute visiting Amer Fort with elephant ride. Amer Fort, the ancient capital of the State until 1728. Visit the Jagmandir or the Hall of victory glittering with mirrors, Jai Mahal and Temple of Kali. Ascend on Elephant back, the hill, on which the fort is situated. Rest of the evening at leisure.
Day 4 – In Jaipur
Morning City Tour of Jaipur visiting Maharaja’s City Palace and the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds and through the rose-pink residential and business areas of Jaipur. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 5 – Jaipur – Agra
Depart for Agra by surface visiting Fatehpur Sikri (40 kms.) built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful building including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chishti, Panch Mahal and other palaces. On arrival check-in at the hotel.
Day 6 – In Agra
City sightseeing tour visiting the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1630 for his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Also visit the Agra Fort containing the Halls of Private and Public audience and other palaces.
Day 7 – Agra – Jhansi – Khajuraho
Transfer to the railway station to board the train for Jhansi. Assistance on arrival and transfer to Khajuraho by surface enroute visit Orchha. 16 km from Jhansi, Orchha’s grandeur has been captured in stone, frozen in time; a rich legacy to the ages.For, on this medieval city, the hand of time has rested lightly and the palaces and temples built by its Bundela rulers in the 16th and 17th centuries, retain much of their pristine perfection.On arrival check-in at the hotel.
Day 8 – Khajuraho – Varanasi
Morning tour of temples. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Varanasi. Assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Day 9 – In Varanasi
Early morning boat cruise on the holy river Ganges to see the Bathing ghats and Cremation site. Watching people bathing and worshipping at the Ghats is one of the most extraordinary experiences of a visit to India. Later tour of Varanasi visiting the Bharat Mata Temple with a big relief map of India in marble, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir, Banaras Hindu University which has an Art Gallery and the Mosque of Mughal Emperor Aurangazeb. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath. Half day tour of Sarnath, the buried Buddhist city where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon, Sarnath was a renowned school of learning from 6th century B.C. to 12th century A.D. Visit the ruins, the stupa, the Buddhist temple and the Museum.
Day 10 – Varanasi – Kathmandu
Transfer to airport to board flight to Kathmandu. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 – In Kathmandu
Morning tour of Kathmandu valley. Afternoon excursion to Patan.
Day 12 – In Kathmandu
Mountain flight in the morning (Optional). Afternoon excursion to Bhadgaon.
Day 13 – Kathmandu – Delhi
Transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi. Assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Day 14 – Leave Delhi
In time transfer to international airport to connect flight for onward destination.
